Jackie is a licensed architect, project manager and engagement facilitator working in the field of affordable housing and public interest design supported by a locally-rooted architecture firm based in Chicago, IL; Always passionate about the work we are doing with our clients: aiding underserved communities with cutting edge research and design innovation, constantly working for equity and justice for all.We are creating safe, healthy & accessible, affordable housing along with the adjacent supportive services needed to help people become more resilient & thrive! Jackie has spent her career utilizing her design abilities to create beautiful, efficient and accessible housing for communities throughout the Pacific Northwest and Chicagoland area. She has a passion for uplifting disadvantaged and underrepresented populations through adaptive reuse, community development, and mixed income affordable housing, creating positive generational shifts and lasting outcomes for individual and collective futures. She has extensive experience participating in and facilitating community engagement with vulnerable communities as well as charette type brainstorming with interdisciplinary technical teams and stakeholders to generate the best ideas across expert groups for her clients highest and best outcomes.She played an intricate role in the initial research and planning of the Equitable Transit Oriented Development Plan for the Chicago Red Line Extension which will create greater access to jobs, resources, housing options and retail for Chicago's South Side residents.Jackie is an excellent communicator and team player who loves working collaboratively with every member of internal, interdisciplinary & construction project teams. She has worked closely with multiple leadership teams throughout her career to create both firm wide organizational and cultural shifts to help them grow sustainably, as well as contributing to marketing and social media campaigns to grow their branded image and presence throughout their respective cities. Jackie continues to bring out the best in all whom she works with as well as being a realistic manager, keeping expectations for production and timelines on aligned and projects within budget.Jackie is an active leader in her local church in Hyde Park and is committed homeowner in the Woodlawn Community on the South Side of Chicago, where much growth and reinvestment is being made.
