• Formulation of hypotheses on the state of the damage after a first in-situ evaluation of the structure and definition of the work program to determine the causes and intensity of damage and soil conditions;
• Supervision of soil mechanics tests in laboratory (triaxial tests, straight shear test, among others) as well as the analysis and interpretation of its results;
• Detailed description of the cores used to establish local stratigraphic models;
• Analysis and interpretation of pressiometric and dynamic penetrometer test;
• Geological diagnostic of the damage causes and proposal of engineering solutions.

• In charge of developing new guidelines for the analysis of organic matter from coals and shales. The project have required to execute the following missions:
• Study and compilation of existing methods for organic matter analysis.
• Carrying out field trips in the Middle Magdalena Basin to identify and sample the coal and shale beds required for the project; followed by their processing and analysis;
• Conception of a new petrographic method that consists in taking microphotographs of a polished section of rock, under different ultra-violet light conditions. These are then used to identify and count in a statistical.
• Drafting of reports with the results obtained using the method devised.
