Organize and supervise the Shanghai production site of the Swiss company Pagani Pens SA, managing and motivating a team of 20 Chinese people specialized in the mass production of pen refills and roller tips for the local and overseas markets.Main tasks and projects:o Define the production year plans, allocating the proper resources to the projects (workforce, machines and materials), using Gantt diagrams for scheduling the delivery dates and the resource allocation.o Coach (in Mandarin language) the workers through their daily tasks, providing new equipment and making them more independent, without compromising the output quality, implementing new salary plans based on their output efficiency and reducing the total customer complaints.o Attend meetings with Chinese and overseas clients as technical support for the production aspects.o Research and audit local suppliers in order to manage, autonomously from the Swiss headquarter, the spare parts necessary, reducing the loss of time related to the machine component failures.o Daily contacts with the European headquarter, providing technical cooperation.o Manage the mechanical review and the whole documentation necessary for the CE certification of an assembly machine that will be shipped to Europe in 2018.o The implementation of new maintenance plans and the mechanical review of our machines, also with the design of new mechanical component, led to increase by +5% the global roller tip production output.

Mechanical design engineer for the international company Tenova, in the branch of machine tools related to rolling mill applications such as laser texturing machine, roll grinding machines, roll shops and loaders.Main tasks and accomplishments:o Co-author of an innovative patent pending spindle for roll grinding machines.o I learned how to proficiently use 2D and 3D CAD software for parts and assembly drawings.o I made mathematical models of many machine systems and most of the calculations (stress andkinematic) for dimensioning the components of the project that I worked on.o I learned the basics of the ERP programs, such as SAP, and other standard internal procedures.o I attended meetings with suppliers in order to define the right design approach to new projects, becoming familiar to a wide range of standard parts, such as (bearing, linear guides, linear and torque motors, etc.).o Parallel to my tasks in mechanical design, I was the technical representative for the business unitportfolio, assisting the technical manager and the business unit director during the spending reviewprocess that reduced to almost the 50% the total number of company patents. With the legalrepresentative I also followed all the procedure related to more than 4 new patent application processes.Here a list of the main projects: 3-axes automatic loader. Global review of a laser texturing machine (also the pneumatic, hydraulic and lubricantscheme). I also worked on the first machine installation to the customer plant, providing thelayout for the civil works and piping connections. Review of a micro-metric probe for roll grinding calipers, improving its accuracy and reliability. A customized roll grinding caliper (2 arms model structure) had to be applied to a revampedcustomer machine. Tailstock for small-sized roll grinding machine with manual regulating system for the axisorientation.

Ductile-brittle transition curve and Paris’ curve experimental evaluation in thermite welds.During this brief experience, I completed the work started with my Master’s Degree thesis, concluding the final tests necessary for the mechanical material characterization of the welded joints in the long welded rails. I also started to write and collect all the data necessary for my first publication on an international journal.
