Take Heart is a non-profit and fair trade store that creates opportunities for orphans and widows in Kenya to overcome poverty through education and entrepreneurship. We bring light to darkness through the truth and grace of Jesus to disciple a new generation of leaders. Our invitation is to the individual to recognize excess in America and fight injustice through fair trade.We provide education sponsorships for 100+ adolescents ranging from primary school to university across the nation of Kenya. These opportunities create alternative pathways for students to choose life outside of cyclical poverty, violence, suicide and forced marriage. In addition to academics, Take Heart offers students immersive discipleship experiences through our annual conference and year-long accountability.We partner with 30+ widows to earn a living wage through sugar cane farming and small business opportunities. Women participating in this program are building a community of farmers and business entrepreneurs to revitalize their village. Take Heart provides full health care coverage and education to their children so they can focus their sustainable income.Fair trade is a global movement of artisans in the third world who craft handmade items for a fair wage in safe working conditions to earn sustainable income for their families. We sell fair trade items in our store from local and global artisans representing over 30 countries. Our store profits cover most organizational overhead expenses allowing for a majority of donations to go directly towards orphans and widows.

Management and administration of programming towards the personal and professional development of student-athletes.Responsibilities:-Development, implementation, marketing and evaluation of the Knights PRIDE Program for UCF student-athletes-Coordinate professional development events (career panels, mock interviews, networking events, etc.)-Create/maintain a database of current/former student-athletes to support personal/professional development and community service program identification, target marketing, and attendance-Manage community service initiatives involving UCF student-athletes by cultivating relationships with community partners, planning community service events, and evaluating each event in terms of participation and impact for semester/annual reports-Coordinate advising of student-athlete organizations-Manage and Update all Knights PRIDE newsletters and social media accounts

-Worked with the advancement team to further the Stony Brook Athletics program with the new 5 year plan focused on providing student-athletes with transformative life experiences that complement their academic pursuits and prepare them for success in every aspect of their lives.-Redesigned marketing collateral for the Stony Brook Touchdown Club; Stony Brook Football’s annual giving program.-Secured several 5-year gift pledges toward the Stony Brook Football Program from young alumni.-Assisted in the planning and execution of an annual fundraising event which generated over $11,000 towards the Stony Brook Football program.-Worked with former student-athletes to reconnect their interest to Stony Brook Athletics.-Assisted with the development and implementation of plans for staff giving, individual sport team fundraising, and alumni & friends annual support.-Met with current and prospective donors as part of the department’s on-going fundraising initiatives.-Assisted in the planning and management of athletic special events that were focused on strategic constituency building.
