USAID-funded Balkan Media Assistance Program (BMAP) is a 10-year program that aims to make independent media in the Western Balkans (Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) more competitive in the local and regional marketplaces, and strengthen the sustainability of the independent media sector across the region, particularly in the digital space.The project is based around the following three objectives: • Provide media partners with more substantial resources to operate as financially viable and organizationally stable enterprises;• Strengthen the ability of media partners to engage wider audiences and expand reach across the region while maintaining and upgrading the content relevance and quality; and• Foster stronger partnerships to advance solutions on common challenges in the digital space.As BMAP Chief of Party, I am providing strategic guidance and leadership and overseeing activities that help media outlets develop sound digital business strategies and produce high-quality content.

Interfaith dialogue: Organising and conducting workshop for journalists, religious leaders and CSOs on issues related to religion, tolerance, inter-faith dialogue and suppression of radicalization of the Kosovo youth. Recommendations for improving management of EU Info Centers in BiH. Support to the enhancement of visibility for the EU assistance programmes in Serbia. Baseline assessment of the "Guidelines for EU support to media freedom and media integrity in the enlargement countries (Western Balkans and Turkey) 2014-20". Assessment of the current situation in the Western Balkans in the field of media freedom and media integrity as well as providing recommendations on the needs and actions to be taken at national and regional level in relation to the media legislation, regulatory, self-regulatory and co-regulatory framework.
