Every day, we make thousands of decisions, some personal, others impacting society and the environment. While some decisions are benign, others can have harmful consequences. Having experienced the repercussions of poor decisions in my personal life, leading to financial crisis and mental suffering, I now rigorously evaluate my choices, sometimes overanalyzing with system 2 thinking.Understanding the intricacies of decision-making fascinates me, particularly the influence of cultural backgrounds, attitudes, and values on processing information and forming decisions.I ponder questions like: How does our brain process information to make decisions, considering diverse cultural backgrounds? how do we perceive uncertainty and risk? what factors contribute to pro-social and pro-environmental behavior?Through observing daily situations and drawing from social psychology, neuroscience, and other disciplines, I seek answers and explanations.In summary, my interdisciplinary research interests encompass pro-social behavior, risk perception, cognitive dissonance, pro-environmental behavior, environmental psychology, sustainable consumer behavior, and fostering responsible citizenship.
