I started my professional career, during my student years at the University of Aveiro. I worked for around two years part-time in IT Aveiro as a junior researcher in two European research projects, mainly working with C++, Linux systems and PHP.After that, I completed my degree in Computer & Telematics Engineering and finished my MSc dissertation in IEETA Aveiro, which had as main topic the usage of Grid Computing for large scale medical applications. There I worked mostly with Java, JSF and Grid technologies.Upon completing my MSc I went to work for one year at CERN (Geneva, Switzerland) where I did some software development to support their administration team for large scale Oracle Databases.After that year abroad I returned to Portugal to work on a new project in the area of Semantic web development. I worked with Java and JavaEE (JBoss), Web development (JSF2 + JQuery). Also gained some experience with MongoDB and Oracle PL/SQL. I worked there for about two and a half years.In 2013 I decided to take on a new challenge to work remotely full-time for an international company, mainly as a Python backend developer.In the beginning of 2014 I was offered a new challenge by a young company to develop web, mobile and GIS productivity applications, mostly working as a full stack software developer. I worked in multiple projects and using different technological stacks from which I highlight: PHP (Symfony), Python, C# .NET, jQuery, AngularJS, KnockoutJS, Docker, Vagrant & Chef.In 2019, be.ubi got integrated in the Winning group becoming Winning Scientific Technology. There I continued my career as a senior software engineer working in different projects, some as the tech lead and using different technological stacks, most notably C# .NET, Python, PHP and Javascript.Being a cycling enthusiast for a long time and researching endurance training science in my part time, back in 2021 the opportunity came to work for Zwift combining both my knowledge in software engineering and cycling...
