Diving into wireless communications and digital signal processing during my Ph.D., not only does it enrich my understanding of fundamentals of communications, but I also found myself curious and passionate about inventing and exploring cutting-edge technologies, like machine learning and 5G. I see the possibilities and ongoing transitions of 5Gs potentials into real-world technologies and products. This motivated and carried me through the system design, modeling, performance analysis on 5G PHY/MAC techniques, including channel coding, MIMO, channel interference mitigation, nonlinearity mitigation in wireless communications (e.g., LED communications). I always believe excellent verbal presentation (i.e., proficient in English and a native speaker of Mandarin) is one of the crucial skills that helped me stand out and be willing to share my thoughts. I have been practicing and trained with written skills and published five high-quality peer-reviewed journal papers. As a researcher, I love exploiting the unknowns and got hands on CNN and RNN, in which I became familiar with the mainstream frameworks in machine learning, e.g., Keras and Tensorflow.Outside of research, I serve as Vice President of one of the Univeristy clubs (i.e., UOW-CSSA). I identify and love the interpersonal aspect of my personality. I also love playing basketball and have experience brining more people into this activity by organizing and running basketball games in the uni.
