Dawn Baker has been actively involved in the spa industry as a practitioner, educator, and entrepreneur for the last two decades. As former spa owner and operator in Halifax for over a decade, she is widely viewed as not only a dynamic leader in our community, but also as an innovative visionary. Nominated as a CYBF Entrepreneur of the Year in only her second year in business, Dawn grew her day spa to be one of the first spas in the city to introduce advanced skin care and to employ trained Clinical Aestheticians. She became known as the spa owner who travelled the world, working with industry experts and bringing back leading-edge knowledge and training to our region. Dawn cares deeply about people and has built community through sharing resources and offering relevant and timely training. Eager to share her knowledge and experience, she also mentors young entrepreneurs. As a spa therapist trained in many modalities of the health and wellness industry, she has a passionate interest in skincare, health, overall well-being, and natural nutrition. Additionally certified in reflexology, aromatherapy, holistic nutrition and yoga, Dawn is truly interested in the whole person and is a passionate advocate for healthy minds, bodies, and skin—true beauty from the inside out.
