I am an experienced senior leader and learning technologist, with an adaptive, leadership style developed over twenty years in senior roles in the Further Education sector. These roles have included leading curriculum faculties, business support directorates, eLearning and project management with outstanding results. I am an advocate of digital pedagogy and project-based learning. I am self-confident, proactive, adaptive, and resilient. I tackle projects and contract management using a collaborative approach and deliver on time to budget. In my curriculum work, I consult with employers and delivery teams to build programmes that develop the skills needed to build careers. As an interim director, I build strong teams, encourage devolved responsibility and ownership to overcome problems and set up a strong base for the future.My key achievements:- developing and supporting an HE institute Technology Enhanced Learning Community of practice- leading a HE Institue rollout of Blackboard Ally to improve the accessibility of VLE resources- leading the development of Project-Based Learning for a national education charity- Designing and developing curriculum content for digital leadership and use of technology in the logistics and the construction sectors- co-design and developed a wide range of NPQ School Leadership programmes.- programme managed and delivered on the Education and Training Foundation National Essential Digital Skills Programme- consulted on the Education Technology Action Group and the Further Education Learning Technology Action Group (FELTAG) recommendations with BIS and formulated a successful agency response to the final recommendation, supporting 20 Colleges and training providers to adopt the use of technology for learning.- devised, procured and managed three leading learning technology programmes for a national agency- chair the Leadership and Management Group of the FE coalition formed in response to FELTAG- instructional design of online courses for teaching practitioners and leaders to improve their digital capability- project managing student, e-learning and IT Services for three new colleges in Saudi Arabia- leading on securing funding and project managing a substantive IT infrastructure programme- creating and leading a shared services IT department - leading on establishing a virtual learning environment- creating and implementing organisational e-learning strategies
