In 2014 I opened a trampoline club after a lot of enquiries from other parents in the local area of Lymm. Lymm Trampoline club opened and expanded extremely quickly with a long waiting list starting to grow. I researched my local area for any competitive clubs and looked at their location in relation to an area I could cover. I then opened a satellite venue in Appleton at Bridgewater high school. I rebranded the club to Cheshire Trampoline Club to enable me to expand in the future. The club has been extremely successful competitively with one of my gymnasts reaching the national finals in disability trampolining, another gymnast has represented the north west and then onto the national development plan finals, both were very successful in their achievements at this level. In all competitions we have entered, most gymnasts have medaled individually and as a teams. I have recruited three further qualified coaches to support the club and an assistant coach. I mentor coaches through their ongoing and further training. I have introduced a ‘My Leadership’ program for gymnasts once they turn eleven that would like to become more involved in their club, the course which is endorsed by BG can be used as evidence in GCSE subjects and the voluntary work can assist the young leaders in the future with their own employability. We support gymnasts through their GCSE syllabus if the school cannot offer trampolining as a subject on their PE course. I am responsible for the overall running of the club to British Gymnastics regulations, covering all of the health and safety requirements, child protection and any other legal work frames set down by BG. The club has seventy-two gymnasts who train weekly with a waiting list of over eighty children looking for places. I have an adults’ session which has expanded over the time, adults ‘bounce’ for recreational fitness, returning to the sport or trying something new.

During school holidays I am involved in sports camps teaching trampolining primarily, also covering the first aid for the camp. I get involved in the general care of the children in the camp who are aged from four – thirteen, each daily camp can accommodate thirty to one hundred children dependent on the location. This is a multi-sports camp with specialist activities, we play wind down games ‘sleeping lions’, team games ‘dodgeball’.

Running school kitchens’ in the absence of the catering supervisor appointed to the school. Food ordering, checking deliveries and storage of the produce correctly whilst managing the budgets. Adhering to all food safety policies and completing daily paperwork, assisting any inspectors during their visits. Ensure consistency of the food produced, overseeing kitchen assistants, mid-day assistants, responsible for their on-going training and induction of new staff. Menu planning ensuring all dietary requirements are met. (Full time degree, career change)

My role involves managing a team of mobile trainers and administrators. Training courses are organised for the trainers with clients which are all technical based products ranging from scaffolds to asbestos. To enable me to advise clients I have technical knowledge of the products we offer to match a client with a course that will best suit their needs. All courses are booked using a programme which I have had involvement in the design and writing to best suit our business needs – Dante. I produce training packages using power point, word documents to enable the HR team to deliver internal courses. Attend the events to host and support the delegates and trainers. Major clients request various courses by using excel spreadsheets which are emailed to me from this I will book all of the resources needed using Dante and then respond to the client and we will agree training dates, venues, the costs are monitored and invoiced to the client using an internal spanner system.
