I'm a 'happy go lucky' person with a great sense of humour. I have worked in Neurosurgery ICU/HDU since 2004, but I have also worked in other areas in the NHS for over 34 years so far. I worked in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, in Neuro-Outpatients where I arranged and coordinated the clinics, and assisted in pre-assessing patients in the clinics and helped optimise them for surgery. I was also involved in the research clinics, with recruiting patients suitable for that particular research, and performing the tests needed. I have been leading the unit for many years, guiding and supporting the team, and teaching and assessing students and juniour staff for years now, helping and encouraging them to be the best they can.I enjoy my job very much, and take it seriously. I strive to do the best I can for the patients, to get the best outcome for them. I am hardworking, reliable, conscientious, always wanting to learn more and be better to ensure I do the best I can.
