After 20 years plus in retail I finally took the plunge last year and followed everyone's advice to set up my own business. I am now the proud owner of Pawprints Animal Services, focusing on where my heart has always been. Previously I was the assistant manager of Astbury Meadows garden centre in Cheshire. I am also a venue assistant for Buxton Opera house and part of the welcome team and a duty manager for the adjoined cinema. I was a store manager for Holland and Barrett between 2006 and 2017. I worked as manager of the Buxton branch for 4 years and then moved to the Manchester Market street store. I increased profits 3 fold in that time and during my time there was the highest performing store in the business.I am a keen advocate of customer service and training and enjoy seeing people performing at there best. Highly motivated and fiercely competitive-I have always taken on any challenge!In 2014 I was nominated for the Oracle Retail manager of the year award, and succeeded into making it into the top 10, which was a very proud moment for me. Prior to this I was a retail manager at a showcave which was a tourist destination. Retail aside, whilst I was here I studied geology and was taught traditional stone turning methods and other craft techniques.
