I am a certified coder that is always looking to expand my knowledge and expertise. My resume soeaks for itself. I have held many roles at my current place of employment being that I have been employed there for 20 years. My vast knowledge in the Next Gen system is a great assest and I am always willing and able to train staff as I am a super user. I work directly with providers in regards to documentation and any other questions that they might have, I process encounters for patients that have presented for care and determine if the documentation meets the guidelines for the acurate level of service that is being billed for. I verify that the patients insurance is accurate and active for the date of service rendered. I schedule appointment and assist patients that call about concerns with their account. I obtain a spread sheet for prenatal patients to insure that the insurance complay is billed out properly as there are different guidelines for the insurance companies. I handle the billing for the school based medical and school based dental clinics and process the charges according to the special guidelines that are set up for the services. These are just some of the job duties I perform.
