A Creative Edge, ACE, is a professional design services studio. ACE provides creative solutions for print media, photography, sign, banners, decals and so much more! We focus on the needs of new and small to medium size businesses. ACE provides consultations, design and fabrication on site.

Graney Design is a division of A Creative Edge that is marina focused. We provide print design media services and boat graphic design, fabrication and local installations.

Day camp owner, activity director & developer of creative nature / early education curriculum for pre-school to elementary age children. Camp program focus was on introduction to nature and our personal impact on the environment. Developed the course to focus on children’s five basic senses using nature as the text book. I supported my program with an introduction to music, art, and daily hikes, physically geared towards preschool and elementary age, to enhance and inspire interest and learning. This program is successful and has always been completely booked, with a waiting list, by April 1. Child and Adult CPR and First Aid certified.

Environmental Design Project Manager (EDPM) for Facility Management: Managed multiple new construction and renovation environmental design projects for local and regional office sites. Functions included: • Strategic Plan Development: Created a strategic plan and process for interior and exterior environmental design projects, including detailed specification sheets, and facilitation guides. • Project Manager: EDPM responsible for budget, site surveys, design renderings, specifications, material selection, vendor selection, purchasing, and management of installations. Facilitation included coordination with site managers, vendors, security, engineers and construction team. EDPM for on-going site survey project to for company specification and American Disability Act (ADA) compliancy. Travel to local and regional site for surveys, coordination and EDPM initiatives.• Transition Team: EDPM for exterior re-branding effort and coordination with the Bank of America transition team.

• Advertising Development: Responsible for division planning, budget, art direction, and educational support. There are four divisions within the company that include: Retail Division, Material Handling Division, Medical Division, and Food Services Equipment Division. • Management: Responsible for hiring, direction, and leading services of a team of creative designers and monitoring efforts of mail room staff. Purchasing, research, and vendor management for department technology, printing services, and marketing requirements were also my responsibility. • Coordination: Company liaison for outside advertising agency commercial efforts and education seminars for customer base. Trade shows coordination of booth layout, design, marketing materials, and submission of electrical and material requirements. • Designer & Photographer: Photographer and designer for new product photo shoots and specification flyers. • Direct Marketing: Identified alternative product offerings and new opportunities for market development. Recommendations resulted in an increase in sales and customer opportunity.• Research and Development (R&D): Responsible for R & D of design department and internal mail services. Developed and implemented a web marketing to mail room plan that streamlined the catalog process resulting in improved customer satisfaction, mail room efficiency, and cost savings for the company. Upgraded hardware and software to improve efficiency and capability of design department. Implemented and in-house digital photography studio saving the company on high costs of outside photography services and shipping fees while improving flexibility and efficiency.

• Management: Responsible for hiring, and directing, a team of graphic designers to adhere to an insertion and mailing schedule of over 60 scheduled media demands of sale circulars, mailers and coupon books per year for 45 store locations. Responsible for facilitation of printing needs, production house, and delivery services to insertion contacts and store locations. Coordinator with merchandising department reviewing product information, art, proofing approvals, and photography support.• Research and Development (R&D): Researched, purchased, and trained staff on internal desktop publishing software and hardware. Set up an in-house digital photo studio and trained staff to shoot products on location saving time and cost. Responsible for the implementation of a successful educational and motivational program developed to enhance the skills and production time of our design staff.• Designer & Photographer: Illustrator of company character that appeared in flyers and designer of theme cover of sale circulars and grand opening mailers.

Merchandising, Advertising Coordinator, and Inventory Control: (1985 – 1990) •Merchandising: (1988-1990) Assist buyers, vendors, and merchandisers to coordinate co-op advertising dollars and schedule products for ad dates based on time-lines.I accepted promotion opportunity to assist the new hired Ad Director with development of an in-house advertising department, enabling me to utilize my artistic abilities.•Purchasing: (1986-1987) Entry of orders, price changes, and advertising specification sheets for purchasing and merchandising departments. Monitor pricing changes and implement alerts to stores. Work with store managers, and merchandising to place orders for products and monitor inventory levels. I accepted promotion to assistant purchasing agent for merchandising department in 1987. •Accounting & Inventory Control: (1985-1986) Process shipping and receiving orders for warehouse and handle shipping errors. Work with drivers and staff to unload inventory and place in stock. I accepted promotion opportunity to move to the Purchasing within the Merchandising department in 1986.
