Training to protect your employees Reducing the Risk offers training for companies, the third sector, and statutory services on domestic abuse to help companies support any staff (men or women) who are experiencing domestic abuse. This is not limited to HR professionals, everyone can benefit from understanding more about domestic abuse, the forms it takes and how it can impact a person, friends and family, and a workplace. Our training can be bespoke and designed for your organization or you can access our online platform for virtual and video training. We are also celebrating our 20th year of DA Champions – DA Champions have completed our training and work within their organisations to ‘champion’ the issue of domestic abuse, provide victims with support and advice, and ensure they don’t have to go from one agency to another to repeat their story to get the help they need. We have trained over 1,000 champions so far and this network is very active and effective. More about us Reducing the Risk is a small domestic abuse charity. We work with partner organisations including the police, children's services, health workers and local councils to provide services for adults and children who are affected by domestic abuse and violence. Reducing the Risk began as an Oxfordshire charity, but our work now reaches across the Thames Valley and beyond. We were established in 2007 and provide Oxfordshire’s Independent Domestic Violence Advice (IDVA) service for victims at high risk, which has worked with over 1,000 adults and their 1,500 children over the past seven years.
