Provided curatorial support within home department and wider Museum projects. Worked on a variety of object-related activity and documentation. Responsibilities included: Metalwork 'Long Loans In'; Ceramics 'Long Loans Out'; acquisitions; public enquiries; study appointments; upkeep of galleries; couriering; supporting residents, overseeing interns.Activities and achievements included: installation of the display 'Garnitures: Vase Sets from National Trust Houses'; co-curation of display in V&A Boardroom; chairing a panel at the Museums Association conference; keynote speaker at Berlin University; delivering papers at several academic and public conferences.Whilst on secondment in the Furniture, Textiles & Fashion Department I undertook a research project into Windsor chairs in the V&A’s collections.Other undertakings included: in-depth research into early cycling posters; developing a Learning Academy Course on 'Suffragettes & the V&A'; and co-organising the Subverting Censorship symposium (April 2018).

I was Co-Chair of the V&A’s LGBTQ Working Group, which aims to facilitate understanding of LGBTQ identities and histories within the context of the museum's activities. The group works to highlight issues of gender, sexuality and identity with the V&A collections through research, public programming, discussion and debate.I maintained the group's blog since 2014 and instigated the 2015 creation of an LGBTQ 'hub' on the Museum's website. In June 2014 we launched 'Out on Display', a guide to LGBTQ-related objects on display in the Museum. I played an integral role in this major gallery renovation, from early development of display themes to public opening.My role included: leading development of displays; coordinating and undertaking the deinstall and installation of the galleries; record keeping; coordinating conservation treatment and photography of objects; organising mock-ups; label writing and associated interpretation; liaising with designers; managing volunteers and interns; supervising external contractors.Notable specific responsibilities included: leading on the development of The Masquerade gallery interactive; scripting and recording audio guides; writing the project blog; and training 'Black Heritage' and 'Family' volunteer guides.I represented the project, in person and in writing: speaking at academic conferences, student lectures and gallery tours. I wrote a chapter for the gallery publication and several articles. I co-curated a Europe Galleries-themed Friday Late event and supported a series of academic Salons that took place in the galleries.

I was a fundamental part of a major initiative to digitise the V&A’s prints, drawings, paintings and photography collections, cataloguing objects to the Museum’s Collections Information System (CIS) and using a variety of research sources to enhance records.I supported other activities within the department, such as couriering museum objects, supervising volunteers and interns and the reorganisation of museum stores.I worked at a number of the V&A’s ‘Friday Late’ events, planning and running workshops, and co-curated ‘Dress Sense’ with Artangel in May 2010.
