Communication is my passion, and I use it to bring people together. I'm seeking employment.I first discovered my love for journalism and communication studies in middle school, and was the features editor, and news writer for my school newspaper. I continued my newspaper experience in high school, and added TV news to my skill set, as a reporter for the Los Angeles Public TV Station, KLCS.When I began college at Cal State Northridge, I joined the college newspaper, The Sundial, and became a reporter for our college radio station, KCSN. I also began working part-time for local radio station KLAC. Over the next five years, I continued working at various radio stations in Las Vegas and Reno as a news anchor and reporter, before getting hired, full-time, at commercial-free radio station, KSBR.While working for KSBR, I wrote, produced, and anchored daily news stories for 45,000+ listeners, as well as developed, created, and hosted a weekly half hour public affairs show called “Collage.” I interviewed representatives from non-profit organizations, government, health, and community programs. I also became a four-time winner of the American Heart Association’s C. Everette Koop M.D. Award for Radio Talk Show excellence. In 2016, I was honored with the American Heart Association's Volunteer of the Year Go Red For Women Award.In the community, I am a volunteer announcer for the annual Swallows Day Parade in San Juan Capistrano, and the Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade, which attracts thousands of people.I'm also a member of the Mission Viejo Chamber of Commerce, where I proudly network with others who are trying to enhance their businesses.On OC Talk Radio, I'm currently the Public Affairs Director and Host of a half hour show "Impact OC."I interview guests who impact Orange County in a positive way.Since the position is part-time, I'm open to opportunities where I can utilize my communication skills in order to benefit a non-profit organization, or company, by being a Podcaster or Media Liaison.★ Spokesperson★ Community Relations★ Media/Organization Liaison★ Public Affairs ★ Media Coaching★ Administration★ Event Planning★ Fundraising★ Training/Mentoring
