I have been a registered nurse for 21 years. I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I worked at Sparrow Health System for 15 years in critical care settings. There I worked in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (now called the Medical Intensive Care Unit). After working at Sparrow Hospital I started working in an outpatient surgery center called Lansing Genesis Surgery Center for the past 6 years. Now I am currently employed at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in their Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. During my time at Sparrow Hospital, I started instructing at Lansing Community College (LCC). I have been employed there for the past 10 years. I work in the skills lab, hospital clinical, and simulation lab for the Nursing Department. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing Education at Western Governors University.
