I started working in my parents Screw Machine Shop at the age of fifteen and am still working in the Manufacturing Field thirty-one years later. I started out doing deburr and second operation type work but moved up to Shop Lead within five years. After being there for eight years, I decided I wanted to learn different types of machining since designing and machining fascinated me. Since then I have learned CNC machining, Mold making, Quality Control, EDM of both wire and sinker, surface grinding, CNC lathes and Mills set-up, Conventional machining of various types, Industrial machining and Precision machining, CNC and NC programming with MasterCAM,Virtual GIBBS, EzCAM, ProCAM, ProE,and FeatureCAM software. I was a Quality Control Manager for four years and dealt with Military Source Inspections and handled all calibrations with document control as well as create operation inspection documents as jobs came in. When I started designing and creating part and assembly drawings to be manufactured I realized how important it was to know the different types of machining processes and felt very lucky to have that knowledge. I had the opportunity to be the Production Manager and work in the Sales department which handled job quoting, job planning, customer communication, scheduling and writing work instructions for internal bonding processes. I have been fortunate to have had a chance to learn all aspects of manufacturing. Machining and Designing still fascinates me today.
