About Dawn Mcgee

Dawn is a NYC based actor who originates from New Jersey, but who’s family moved to Vermont before the hair and accent really took hold. Dawn attended Washington and Jefferson College, outside of Pittsburgh, where she majored in Political Science with the hope of attending Law School after graduation. It was here at W&J that Dawn performed in many a musical and play, where she won the first ever Theater Arts Award given by the college and where that acting bug truly took hold. So, NYC or Law School? What to do.....Dawn bit into the Big Apple, and has been here ever since, choosing the path of a starving artist over an ulcer ridden political existence - that’s how it was seen at the time anyway - first studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and then privately with amazing coaches like George Loros and George Di Cenzo. Since moving to Manhattan, Dawn has worked on and in many terrific projects.
