About Dawn Mortimer

Since 2008, I have enjoyed a position as an Administrative Assistant for the Planning division at Hydro One Networks Inc. and have been responsible for a variety of tasks, ensuring the satisfaction of my directors, managers, and their staff. I am also the current Diversity Representative for the Power Worker’s Union at Hydro One and, since 2019, I have acted as Co-Chair for PrideOne, Hydro One's first 2SLGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group. PrideOne seeks to positively, proactively and unambiguously support and advocate for Hydro One's 2SLGBTQIA+ employees and employees with 2SLGBTQIA+ dependents, so that everyone feels empowered to bring their authentic selves to work every day.In my free time, I'm a co-host on Girly Mags, a comedy podcast that provides social commentary via the lens of 90's/00's teen magazines like Seventeen, YM, and Sassy, to name a few. We were voted best local podcast by NOW Magazine's 2018 Reader's Choice Awards and have been featured on media publications The A.V. Club, Jezebel, and Flare.
