I am a private practice psychotherapist providing individual, family, and group therapy in an outpatient setting. In addition to a variety of therapeutic techniques, primarily cognitive behavioral therapy, I provide EMDR in my practice as well. I enjoy working in the areas of addictions, bereavement and trauma, and the varied issues that accompany these. In conjunction with the private clients I see in my practice, I also work with clients referred to me by the criminal justice system, who are often referred by attorneys, probation/parole officers, or mandated by the judges.

I was the director of a team of counseling professionals that provided psychological and mental health outreach for the United States Marine Corps. The Psychological Health Outreach team (PHOP) was one of six teams, and we coordinated services for the South Region of the United States, which comprised eight states, to address the psychological health of the USMC reservists and their support systems.

I worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor, and as a Clinical Director, providing varied services to individuals, and occasionally families, in an Intensive Outpatient Program. Aside from working with the individuals seeking treatment, I also worked with the Department of Corrections Office of Probation and Parole, Department of Children and Family Services, Drug Court judges and case managers, as well as state agencies providing inpatient treatment in order to coordinate the care and address the needs of the client.

As a Hospice Social Worker I provided social services and counseling to address the end-of-life needs of terminally ill patients and their loved ones. In addition to counseling the terminally ill patient and their family during the patient's care with hospice, I also provided bereavement counseling to families for the year following the death of their loved one. As part of the bereavement team I was also an integral part of facilitating a bereavement camp offered to the children of my community.As the Agency Director for hospice I was responsible to the oversight of the entire agency, including, but not limited to managing personnel, community outreach, business development, and management of contracts for service (Medical Directors, pharmacy, durable medical equipment, nursing homes, hospitals, ancillary services, etc.)
