There’s a saying in Austin – nobody is from here. Not only am I fromthe area, but my family’s business also is part of Texas history. In 1904, mygreat-grandfather opened a shop in Corpus Christi selling handcraftedcowboy hats and other retail western wear. The business is still run by my dad in New Braunfels today. Starting at a young age, I learned to greet customers and eventually worked in pretty much all aspects of the business. I learned a lot from working alongside my Papa and dad, but I think one of the biggest take aways was that every customer is our best customer from the moment they walk in the door – from VIP country & western singers to workers using recent paychecks to buy the next pair of steel-toed boots. Additionally, they taught me, you don't succeed in a small business 100+ years without prioritizing relationships, as well as ensuring your products and services last the test of time. After A&M, I pursued my own career goals and still enjoy helping with the family business when I can, but I've carried these values throughout my life and career from recruiting, to teaching and raising a family, to business operations.AREAS OF EXPERTISE FROM 5+ YEARS AS PEOPLE & PROJECT COORDINATOR:•Business planning and analytical skills•Drove revenue growth 75% in 2 years by establishing and leadingaccount strategy and implementation roadmap.•Developed best practices that became organizational standards at Stroll/Life magazine.• Executed projects with $100K+ budgets, collaborating with vendors andteam to achieve on-time delivery.• Motivated 30+ freelance clients to achieve their desiredorganizational outcomes.•Onboarded and/or provided operational support to 20+ clients with100-500 employees in less than 4 months.
