Providing professional development and HR Consultant services to clients and small local businesses. Assist/ advise businesses with human resource needs, including discrimination, fraud, ADA accommodations, EEOC complaints, employee relations, career coaching and development, training, unemployment, and other human resource issues.

Managed Human Resource functions and provided services for operations in Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.* Chaired National Kidney Foundation Annual Walk, raising over $10,000.* Created employee food pantry: In looking into turnover rates, found that many employees were facing challenges in coming to work due to food insecurity. With some financial backing, I set up a food pantry for employees where they could obtain dry goods, oatmeal, breakfast bars, microwavable meals and snacks. This initiative made an immediate positive impact on employee morale, and turnover was reduced. Partnering with management, I offered advise and guidance regarding performance management, employee relations and development.I provided human resource services to each operation, including progressive disciplines, terminations, FMLA and ADA requests, recruiting/hiring. Conducted investigations into corporate ethics compliance complaints. Other responsibilities included: * Facilitating mergers and acquisitions; managed the closure of Michigan office and reduction of operations in St. Louis office. * Handling unemployment claims for all locations, ensuring compliance with each state's laws and regulations.

As Business Partner, represented 10 departments and 300+ civilian employees. Handled employee relations, terminations, performance management and investigations. Recruited and staffed 911 Emergency and non-emergency call centers, payroll, police investigative units, and business operations units. Oversaw union contract compliance, labor relations and managed grievance process.* Spearheaded massive hiring of civilian personnel to fill administrative positions occupied by uniformed officers. Analyzed officer-held administrative positions, identified job duties and qualifications needed, created job descriptions, and filled positions with qualified civilians. Officers returned to normal policing duties. This initiative brought up cultural issues such as the reluctance of officers to return to policing and negative responses to civilians joining the team. Over 100 officers returned to normal policing duties and civilians brought skills that enhanced the position.* Developed enhanced hiring process for 911 Emergency Operators. During the hiring process, candidates listened to taped 911 calls, involving a child in distress, one requiring the operator to instruct the caller in administering CPR, and one during which an police officer was killed. This focus on presenting a realistic view of the job resulted in reduced turnover and burnout.

Led corporate leadership team and directed human resource services for the corporate office and 13 clinics. Established policies and procedures, recruited staff, managed employee relations and clinic schedules. * Developed new corporate benefit plan and company compensation strucutre.

As Business Partner, handled employee relations, terminations, performance management, and investigations for civilian employees. Handled union relations, grievances and contract compliance.*Created Police Intern Program for college students interested in a career in law enforcement. Offered spring, summer and fall semesters, the internship placed students on the streets with officers for 4 weeks, followed by 4 weeks in a special unit (K-9, Bomb Squad, Homicide, Special Victims, Crime Scene Services and more). Students attended Comstat, observed an autopsy at the morgue and participated in special task forces. Over 30% later joined Detroit Police Department.The program attracted students and partnerships with universities and colleges across the country.

Handled corporate recruiting for world headquarters. Spearheaded special projects and established benchmarks and managed employee relations, performance management and designed training events.
