About Dawn Bradley Cooper
I am fully committed to supporting the completion of higher education, careers and lifelong learning opportunities for students and families. Equitable access to education and exposure to careers and entrepreneurship is a means of improving holistic quality of life and economic development for the communities in which they live. I have over 30 years of experience working to increase post-secondary access and success through my various campus, community, state government and volunteer experiences. In addition to conducting college and career presentations, workshops, individual advisement sessions and trainings for students, parents, teachers, counselors, and community leaders, I feel extremely fortunate to have created key partnerships with institutional, community and state agency leaders to develop shared visions and sustainable programs of support. My true passion is not only working to ensure success for all students, but to make a concerted outreach effort to serve under resourced students, e.g., first-generation college, low-income, youth in foster care, homeless and minorities. I’ve done so through my leadership with the Georgia's first ever statewide GEAR UP Grant(co-writer), Georgia Early College initiative, Georgia College Access Challenge Grant (CACG) and Support for Disconnected Youth (Foster, Homeless, DJJ, Teen Parents, Black/Latino Males, Migrant/Immigrant/Refugee Youth).
Listed skills include Community Outreach, Public Speaking, Higher Education, Leadership, and 31 others.
