Dawn Chism is a recognized expert in all legal aspects of procurement, bidding, contracting, claims and disputes resolution for construction, alteration, repair and maintenance work and professional services [architectural, engineering, program management, construction management, environmental services and facility services] for school facilities due to 30+ years of experience with the School District of Philadelphia. She is also a former construction litigator for a large Philadelphia law firm and the District. Due to her expertise, she was selected to draft the Program Management Contract with URS Corporation to provide program manager support for multi-year, multi-billion Capital Improvement Programs from 2002-2007. Dawn was awarded a Certificate in Construction Management (Certificate #1 Fundamentals of Construction) from Drexel University in June 2008. She took construction management courses in Drexel University's Certificate Program in Construction Management on a part-time basis to develop an expertise in the technical aspects of construction management so that she could use her combined legal and construction management skills on design and construction projects.
