Dawn Cooperrider Dole is the Executive Director of the Taos Institute whose mission is to explore, develop and disseminate ideas and practices that promote creative, appreciative and collaborative processes in families, communities and organizations around the world (www.taosinstitute.net). Dawn is also the Knowledge Manager of the Appreciative Inquiry Commons (http://ai.case.edu). She holds a masters degree in Organization Development and Analysis, a masters degree in Education and holds a current Ohio teacher certification for grades 1-8 teacher. She consults with schools, businesses, churches and non-profits using strength-based and appreciative methods for bringing about positive and collaborative change. Dawn also designs and leads experiential teambuilding and leadership programs, conflict management programs, cooperative games/peaceful playground programs and appreciative parenting workshops. Over the past 26 years Dawn has held positions in various organizations and educational settings including: director of an inner city Girls Club, director of two community centers responsible for all youth programming, director of the Child Life Program at a hospital, classroom teacher for 6th grade teaching all subject areas in a public middle school, and director of a social-profit organization offering experiential learning programs. Dawn’s personal commitment is to bring collaborative, relational and appreciative practices to organizations that educate the youth of our world.
