Dawne L. AdamsExecutive Vice President of Underwriting & Product Development, AMS Management Group Dawne Adams is the Executive Vice President of Underwriting and Product Development at AMS Management Group (AMS), and has been an integral part of establishing processes and building a dynamic team of underwriting professionals. For over 20 years, Dawne has been enhancing and refining her knowledge in the specialized market of professional liability insurance for physicians. In her role, Dawne is responsible for all underwriting functions nationally, as well as developing products and rating strategies that are tailored to the needs of individual physicians, large physician groups, and medical staffing companies. Dawne oversees the overall operations of the underwriting team, ensuring that high quality standards are maintained with clients, brokers, and other strategic partners. Dawne began her career in the professional liability insurance industry in 1995 at The MIIX Group of Companies, a medical professional liability insurance carrier based in Lawrenceville, NJ. Dawne held various management positions during her tenure, specializing in underwriting hospital professional liability policies, with other areas of expertise including captives, facultative reinsurance programs for Umbrella and Excess coverage, and D&O/E&O Managed Care Liability. In 2002 Dawne joined Aon and was the Underwriting and Operations Manager for Affinity’s Medical Doctor Program. In this role, Dawne was responsible for providing the overall leadership to both the underwriting and brokering services teams that provided services on a national basis to physicians and physician groups.Dawne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University in 1990, and she is a licensed Property & Casualty Producer in numerous states.
