In this role, I provide leadership and support excellence in academic programs and student service through faculty development and curriculum design within the School of Nursing, School of Undergraduate Studies, and School of Graduate Studies. Responsibilities include oversight of the professional development and promotion of faculty engagement for all full time and adjunct faculty roles. This role also supports the Provost by strategic leadership roles to support curriculum and complete special projects.

Responsibilities included development and coordination of credit bearing avenues for students in a competency-based format where students accrue nursing theory credits via online course or challenge exam. Provided oversight, mentoring, and evaluation of instructional faculty. Led course development and coordination of a focused clinical competencies assessment course, development and implementation of student learning resources including videos of psychomotor skills and patient care, webinars, nursing clinical skills and simulation workshops. Nursing component focus included phase 1, 2, 3 and 4: Transition to the Professional Nurse Role, Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Safety, Essential in Nursing Care: Health Differences, Foundations in Nursing Practice, Health Differences Across the Lifespan 2, Applying the Nursing Process, Focused Clinical Competencies Assessment and Navigating the Clinical Practice Nursing Examination. Participated in National Nursing Faculty Curriculum meetings, ACEN preparation, and AD Team activities. Mentored other faculty program directors in curriculum, item writing, statistical test analysis, outcomes analysis. Presented executive summary to School of Nursing leadership based on doctoral research, with strategic plan for student success

• Travel to associate degree-nursing programs to evaluate the ACEN standards and criteria, which include mission and administrative capacity, faculty and staff, students, curriculum, resources, and outcomes as a member of a team, • Review all materials submitted in advance by the program under review,• Prepare draft of the site visit report prior to the visit, with focused questions for the program under review,• Participate in all aspects of the review process as subject matter expert during site visits to clarify, amplify and verify compliance with ACEN standards and criterion,• Collect data, make observations, collaborate with members of the site visit team,• Provide recommendations to ACEN for initial and ongoing accreditation,• Participate in annual peer evaluator training to maintain competence and currency

Adjunct Instructor 2015-presentProvide student education for introductory and advanced medical-surgical nursing for psychomotor skills development, simulation activities and classroom instruction Curriculum Chairperson 2010-2015Lead the curriculum committee to review and revise program of education at the school to decrease credits from 71 to 64. Facilitated major curriculum change in 2010-2012 to incorporate QSEN competencies, Watson’s Theory of Caring and educational theorists Kolb and Knowles into the curriculum. Facilitated test blueprints and mapping in all courses. Developed and implemented a new hybrid 3-credit course, fall 2012. Implemented new learning management system. Moodlerooms functions as a repository for documents, grade tracking and communication strategy for five courses since fall 2012, and is used as the LMS for the new hybrid course. Shared responsibility for total program development and evaluation with course coordinators. Coordinated analysis of course and program evaluations with strategies to improve, managed all articulation agreements with the Director of the school, served as Secretary for the Advisory Committee for the Belanger School of Nursing.Expert Instructor Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing, clinical expertise in neurologic intensive careBS Curriculum Development 2013-2015Developed the framework for a Department of Nursing (mission, student learning outcomes, syllabi template) that links the newly formed Department of Nursing to college mission, outcomes and strategic plan. Coordinated a team of faculty, participated in the development of nine nursing courses to create a BS in nursing as a new program. Each course syllabus included course description, delivery method, SLOs, content, assessments, and links to the Department of Nursing, School of Science, college mission and outcomes, as well as Essentials of Baccalaureate Practice. Assisted with preparation of documents for program review through the NYSOP.
