I love using design to solve problems. I believe design is a powerful instrument for conveying themes, emotions and ideas. I have a fundamental understanding of good design principles and know how to apply them even when experimenting with a new design trend. I see things and think, “I could have made that look better.” I apply my design skills to both print and digital media. Once I nail a design, I can make it work on a web page, a billboard or a t-shirt. I collaborate well with others, can originate creative ideas or run with creative direction from teammates, strategists and clients. “Variety is the spice of life,” something I like to apply to my design career. And while my design chops are top notch, I am always learning and developing skills beyond my core areas of focus.PROFESSIONAL SKILLSPrint & Web DesignPublication DesignBrand ManagementProject ManagementProcess ImprovementPrint ProductionTeam LeadershipTraining & MentoringPhotographyColor CorrectionEvent Coordination Social MediaWriting & EditingContent DevelopmentVendor RelationsTRANSFERABLE SKILLSActive listeningAdaptabilityClarityCollaborationCommunicationConfidenceCreativityDiplomacyEmpathyOpenness to criticismPersuasionProblem-solvingResourcefulnessTime managementTECHNICAL SKILLSMAC platform: MAC hardware, working knowledge of PC hardware and operating systemsAdobe CreativeSuite Professional: (Mac platform/cloud) InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AcrobatMicrosoft Office: (Mac and PC platform) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and EntourageGoogle Suite: Docs, Slides, SheetsCanvaDigital Asset Management System (cloud based)Canon EOS Rebel XTi digital camera
