About Dawn Halkuff
I’m a board and executive leader who inspires organizational and individual performance through a combination of business acumen and a values-based interpersonal style. I currently serve on the Board of Xeris Biopharma, a $100+ million revenue provider of commercial therapeutic products and a unique injection technology platform. I joined Xeris shortly before its 2018 IPO and am currently a member of the Board’s Nominating and Compensation Committees. I also recently served a 5-year term on the Board of the Society for Women’s Health Research, a national organization that is actively involved in setting the U.S. agenda for women’s health research, federal women’s health policy advocacy, and education. In addition to my board roles, I’ve had a 20-year general management, commercialization, and marketing career in wellness (Weight Watchers, Ideal Protein) and pharmaceutical (Pfizer, TherapeuticsMD) companies. Most recently, I was the CEO of Ideal Protein, a PE-owned, 8-figure developer, manufacturer, and distributor of protein-based foods and supplements that was acquired in late 2023. At Ideal Protein, I worked closely with the Board and lenders to develop and execute a turnaround and exit strategy. Prior to Ideal Protein, I was the Chief Commercial Officer of TherapeuticsMD (NASDAQ: TXMD), an $87 million women’s wellness and pharmaceutical company. As CCO, I led entry to pharma markets, created an $80+ million annual revenue business, and positioned TXMD for its 9-figure exit. I joined TXMD from $53 billion Pfizer (NYSE: PFE), where I was a Senior Vice President and Top 100 senior executive. At Pfizer, I created and had full P&L accountability for a $1+ billion women’s health franchise and led go-to-market for a new, $2+ billion, wellness/CPG business. Before TXMD, I served as Vice President of Global Innovation for $1 billion Weight Watchers (NASDAQ: WTW), where I led the development of an evidence-based weight loss system that drove 25% revenue growth in the year following its launch. My early career included marketing roles at Pfizer, Diageo, and Kimberly Clark.I have an MBA from Pennsylvania State University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Connecticut.Let's talk! halkuffd@gmail.com
