The mission of Writing Wrongs was to illuminate social issues through immersion journalism, to give a voice to marginalized groups, and to expose stereotypes. Writing Wrongs provoked a paradigm shift in collective thinking not only about how certain people are falsely perceived but also raised consciousness and offered solutions to preexisting problems. We achieved this by offering college journalists the opportunity to use their skills in the field, interviewing community members affected by specific societal issues. Each student group produced an entire print book that exposed the issue and told the stories of those directly involved. Writing Wrongs was a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

My priority as the RACCy Olympics Chair was actively soliciting donations for various fundraising projects for the college annual year-long fundraising event, the RACCy Olympics. I motivated and lead ten teams to raise the phenomenal amount of $18,925 for Olivet Boys and Girls Clubs, the beneficiary of the 2014 event. As the Community Service Assistant, I documented students' community service participation, assisted with the coordination of student/club community service projects, provided students with basic information about clubs and activities, and managed preparation and details prior, during, and after campus events.

Upon my election as Editor-in-Chief in May 2012, I eagerly took on the multifaceted task of changing the Front Street Journal into a publication that students, faculty and staff wanted to pick up and read. I supervised the redesign of Front Street Journal from broadsheet to tabloid, changing the focus of the front page to a single attention-grabbing photo. Fresh sections, such as student fashion, day trips, sports and dining guides, were added. Seven issues averaging forty pages each were published in the 2012-13 academic year, and five issues were published during 2013-2014.In addition to fulfilling my responsibilities of Editor, I directed FSJ's Business Manager in developing innovative advertising campaigns to boost sales, implementing both cold-calling and direct mailings. We were successful in adding 10 new advertisers, both from the college and business communities.
