Accompany physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physicalexam, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present.Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc. and document any procedures performed by the physician.

Maintain transgenic mouse colony of 50+ animals (breeding, weaning/ID’ing, genotyping, etc.); various bench research techniques as needed, including PCR, SDS-PAGE and Western Blot, and subcloning via bacterial vector; biannual chemical inventory, controlled substance disposal, and database maintenance for institutional compliance; order all lab supplies (requires use of P-card and Health eShop); edit and revise grant proposals, manuscripts, posters, and other documents for publication; maintain daily lab records; attended job specific training and meetings as necessary.
