As a teen, Dawn enjoyed snowboarding and performing all types of dance. This took her many places across the world including the Scotland, Ukraine, Bermuda, Las Vegas, NV and Australia. It was in Australia that her love for boardsports grew to include surfing. A career in dance was sure to be her initial path, but alas it was not to be. Dawn turned her focus on to her other interests, she attended the Fashion Arts program at Humber College. Simultaneously, she started at Billabong as sales associate and moved up to Assistant Manager while maintaining her studies. She received many recognitions in her time at Billabong/West49 including a trip for top sales to Irvine, CA to check out the Billabong head office. During her studies, she completed an Assistant Buyer co-op with the Billabong Buyer at the West 49 head office. She grasped a behind the scenes knowledge of the retail industry and received hands on experience with the tools from Humber. In 2010, a summer working away and spending time with action sports athletes helped to build a better understanding of their needs within the industry. It gave a new outlook to Dawn's management techniques and ensured her position training to become store manager at West49.Dawn felt as though further growth warranted a move to a core shop in Toronto's Beach. Harry's was a perfect fit and she felt right at home with their excellent customer service and atmosphere. She works closely with the owner and manager to build their reputation within the community and Southern Ontario.A restructuring and change of locations, landed Dawn as manager at the WineRack for a complete new challenge of clients, products and staff.
