Continuing the work I have been doing as a volunteer, with added responsibilities and authority. Organised the 2017 Heritage Roadshow, creating a database of contacts, creating and emailing invitations and booking forms, planning the layout, creating guides for participants and visitors, planning and implementing immediate publicity material around the museum, setting up the rooms, welcoming participants and visitors, dealing with any queries, clearing up at the end of the day.

Documentation, research, handling, cleaning and packing items from the collection, being the volunteer representative on the Acquisitions and Disposal Panel, organising the reference library. Assisting with planning exhibitions, researching, selecting items for display, writing panel and caption text, installing the exhibition, updating the database as a result.

Newbury Visitor Information Centre

Providing cover when necessary, researching local events online and emailing updates to staff, greeting visitors and assisting them, selling products and services including travel and event tickets. Using all Microsoft Office packages. Visitor Information Centre was closed by the Council on 31st March 2016.
