While continuing to serve as the Executive Director at Pleasant View, in Ottawa, IL, this role serves the enterprise regionally at locations in Bloomington, IL and Crown Point, IN, as described below: • Serve as resource to Executive Directors as they manage their Community.• Build an effective team of leaders by providing guidance and coaching to Executive Directors/Administrators.• Ensure adherence of the organization’s daily activities and long-term plans to established policies and legal guidelines.• Organize and lead regular meetings with Executive Directors/ Administrators to facilitate communication, ensure adequate program oversight and offer needed support/assistance.• Monitor Community compliance with operating rules, laws and regulations and the principles and policies each community practices to ensure they are ethical and sound.• Collaborate with Executive Director/Administrator to create a positive work environment for Team Members and consistent execution of the GIA culture program.• Ensure recruitment, retention and engagement strategies are in place in each community. • Provide mentoring, coaching and development for Executive Directors/Administrators. • Monitor each community to ensure all Lutheran Life Communities directives are followed.• Assume on-call status and is prepared to assist Executive Director/ Administrator with emergency decisions and situations.• Support the accomplishment of Lutheran Life Communities Enterprise Strategic plans by involvement in work groups, pilot projects and creative approaches across all levels of living to reach established goals.• Ensure each community has established goals and action steps that correspond to divisional and organizational goals and monitor progress through year with correction, as needed.• Prepare development reports assessing progress toward achievement of goals.

· Act as CEO, directing the operations of a long-term care retirement community encompassing a 182-bed, dually certified Medicare/Medicaid, skilled nursing home, and 108 independent apartments located at two separate sites.·Provide supervision and evaluations to 5 direct reports, following the implementation of an institution-wide reorganization, which include the Director(s) of Nursing, Accounting, General Services/Human Resources, Fund Development, and Independent Living, while also providing encouragement, education and support to a team of over 200 members.·Prepare and manage multi-million dollar budget for three different cost centers within the community and report back to a board of directors regarding every aspect of the operations.·Manage all certifications, licensures, insurance renewals, contracts, purchasing agreements, corporate compliance, and legal matters for the organization.·Direct strategic planning efforts for long-term vision while involving the organization’s leadership and the board of directors in the process.·Prepare team for annual surveys conducted by the Illinois Department of Public Health and lead the organization to the fulfillment of the EAGLE accreditation.·Network with various community leaders and healthcare organizations.·Refinanced bond using the City of Quincy’s bonding authority to finance, design, and build a new short term rehab unit on the 4th floor of the nursing home.·Coordinated the affiliation with the Unity Point NextGen ACO and led the team through the implementation process, while continuing to monitor performance of reducing length of stay and hospital readmissions, while promoting positive outcomes.·Collaborate with facility medical director, physicians, nurse practitioners, and health system leadership to create and implement systems to improve coordination of care for patients.

Assist in the oversight of community operations in preparation for interim Administrator to retire. Worked very closely with each Department Director to ensure efficient operations of each department while encouraging cross-departmental teamwork. Educated team members of the culture change concept and movement and worked with each department to pursue the ultimate goal of creating home within the community.
