I am a senior UX designer with 8 years (plus) experience of working in UX. During this time I’ve worked for organisations with a mature UX process in place through to those with barely any. I have more stories to share about bad UX process than I have good - however - I’ve learnt a lot during these times and am happy to share the lessons.As a Senior UX’er I will always champion the customer’s needs however I will balance those with the needs of the business too. What works for one ought to ensure the success of the other.Where others may see a problem I see this as part of what makes my job interesting. Working within constraint to bring about the best and most enjoyable experience.Dig deeper and you will discover that I have a strong editorial background, cutting my teeth as a copy editor at The Economist, along with also doing research and writing small pieces. I have also worked (and volunteered) within the charity sector building out these skills to include responsibility for editorial calendars, online and print materials as well as manage and edit stringer copy.Go back further and you’ll see that I’ve a Masters Degree from Durham and experience working for the United Nations International Criminal Court for the former Yugoslavia. Yes, my background is eclectic; I’ve always been motivated to progress into a career I enjoy and genuinely find interesting.
