It is these skills combined with an education background in business studies, extensive administrative experience in organizing, event planning, project management/logistics and a solid background as a digital-computer training facilitator that has enabled Dawn Windsor to build a successful training and coaching business. For the past 15 years, the bulk of Dawn’s professional work has been in the area of digital competence. In 2006 she launched Windsor Virtual Office Solutions – an online admin support services and web-development company which expanded in 2010 to include the Entrepreneurs Virtual Resource Center for small business owners. This business has garnered her online marketing, social media, and information management experience for organizations all over the world. In keeping up with technology, the center, services & training Dawn offers are constantly changing. It is this leading-edge adaptability and vision that earned Dawn finalist status in the Women Business Owners of Manitoba (WBOM) in 2010 and a nomination for the RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award. For the past 4 years, Dawn has also been an Essential Skills-Digital Competence Trainer and content developer for Workplace Education Manitoba and has trained over 1,500 business professionals during this time. Dawn has launched the “Do You Know What Your Kids Know?” Learning Center. One of the first of its kind to offer “generation appropriate” face to face training programs, material and coaching in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
