My career has been spent in technical environments; starting in IT Operations, Technical Sales & Marketing to Project / Programme management. The last time I had a ‘real’ job was as a Programme Director building a big Datacentre for one of the UK’s retail banks… that was in 2013. Before that I built couple of big DCs in Norfolk. Since then I have been running the family business, Mafi Mushkila LTD (founded 2002) or as you may know us as HeatLoad; which is lot more fun and much more rewarding.I have worked all over the place in most market sectors; some nice, some not so nice and even some that aren’t that safe!I left school with seven fairly average O-Levels and scraped a BTEC in Computer Studies. I’ve got plenty of qualifications in project management, ITIL and various aspects of data centres … to me none of that means much. I prefer to think I have built up a lifetime of experience that hopefully will help others.Stuff that I have specialised in include; Datacentre design, construction, testing and fit-out, IT infrastructure installs, migrations and consolidation projects. And now …. Datacentre Testing; as owner of UK's largest dedicated heat load, at the last count somewhere around 100MW.
