Rather my gratitude for being able to work at some of Melbourne’s creative powerhouses – The late-and-great Campaign Palace, Clemenger BBDO and GPY&R to name a few.Remaining as passionate about my craft as the day I walked out of Award School on top (and look, some days will test that theory but that’s advertising). Working on brand campaigns for clients both big and small, across all the acronyms (ATL, BTL, TTL, WTF) bagging a few creative awards along the way.As Creative Director, I keep my skillset as broad as possible in order to remain employable for the foreseeable future (pending any more pandemics), from art direction, copywriting, graphic design, illustration, animation, film & editing, not forgetting some mean photoshop skills to boot. With a solid TVC/OOH background, I still know what a 728x90 Leaderboard is, and I can even make a supermarket shelf-wobbler sing (I’m not sure there’s ever been a singing shelf-wobbler but if it gets made, you heard it here first).What am I doing now? I’ve moved in-house, or as some industry friends would say ‘client-side - the dark side’. It’s not that dark. Rather an enlightening opportunity to extend my creative services at one of Australia’s biggest digital publishers - carsales.com.au, delivering a more extensive content offering to both auto and non-auto brands that wish to utilise our large audience both on and off-network.
