Dawson Baucke Email and Phone Number
My name is Dawson Baucke, I am a graduate from the Mechanical engineering program at Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, Colorado. For my Master's thesis, I wrote a method for testing the end gas autoignition quality of gaseous fuels utilizing a reference blend of methane and hydrogen. For my undergraduate degree, I also attended CSU and received a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with an aerospace concentration. During my time at CSU, I have been featured on the Dean’s list and learned engineering fundamentals in the classes I have taken. I have excelled in the upper-level engineering classes including, thermodynamics, vibrations, heat/mass transfer and fluid dynamics, orbital mechanics. I am leaving a position where I worked as a graduate teaching assistant for the department of mechanical engineering in the Engineering Manufacturing Education Center (EMEC). My role was the EMEC is to teach proper safety and operating procedures for undergraduate students in a machine shop. When I was an undergraduate student, I worked for Engineering Technology Services (ETS) where I served as a student support supervisor. Through this position, I gained management experience and insight with many engineering software suites in a domain environment. As for extracurricular activities, I enjoy spending time outdoors doing skiing, hiking, golfing, wake surfing, and mountain biking. I am an athlete on the CSU Freeride team and plan to compete in International Free Skiers Association events. I also enjoy designing and assembling remote control quadcopters, airplanes, helicopters and cars.
