About Erica Dawson

An experienced administrator and events management with a demonstrated history of 15 years of working for non-profit organisations. Skilled in senior level administration, leadership support, databases, and events/project management to name a few. Her passion for New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) - one of New Zealand’s official languages - had seen her increasingly involved in events management with the purpose of raising awareness of NZSL, and her role has since evolved to become the project lead for NZSL Week's national campaign. She takes pride in her can-do attitude and adaptability. For her the importance of building relationships and bridges with “hearing allies” is central to enabling a better future for the Deaf community.
