I'm not your average Videographer/Photographer. Being Dyslexic I have a very unique view of the world. Not being the strongest reader I have always gravitated to Photos and Videos. This is why I believe in a more hands-on learning approach to my work. I did not take the traditional 4-year college route as many professionals do. I found out in high school through my three years of work in media, along with an internship in the field, that the best way to learn the art of multimedia for me was hands-on. In my work in high school, I found there was always a youtube video showing me things that I did not know how to do or teaching me things I did not know. When it came to post-secondary learning I attended KCKCC because they believed in the same philosophy of learning as I did, very hands-on. During the time when I was in school, I was also fortunate enough to do freelance work for a company called Digital Sound Systems. They specialize in event coordination and execution. I worked everything from Corporate Events, Charity Concerts to the Chiefs Superbowl Parade. Freelancing my camera work to Digital Sound Systems I was able to learn so much about live event videography that I just would not have been able to learn in a classroom. Working alongside professionals in the field, this experience helped me tremendously understand what it takes to be a professional videographer and the skills that you need to be great in this field. When the Covid 19 Pandemic hit there were, unfortunately, no sports or live events to film, but this period afforded me the chance to hone my audio skills working virtual events with Premier Sports. During this time I was also able to focus my work more on photography, and studying to get my 107 Drone License. My sisters were kind enough to be my models so I could continue to grow my knowledge of cameras and a new understanding of portrait photography. During this time I also started to take more landscapes and cityscape photography. Also doing this time, I expanded to work with real estate agents and companies to incorporate my drone photography, videography, and editing skills into products that aid these customers with selling their properties.
