With over 25 years of experience in the health-tech and life science industry, I have a passion for bringing innovative solutions to address unmet medical needs and improve patient outcomes. I have a Masters in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo and a proven track record of leading successful business development, commercialization, regulatory affairs, fundraising, and M&A initiatives across various sectors and markets in the medical and life sciences industry.Currently, I am supporting Commercial and Business Development for BioCircuit Technologies, an Atlanta-based medical device company focused on nerve repair and neuromodulation. In 2022, BioCircuit received FDA clearance for its novel nerve graft technology, Nerve Tape, which has the potential to transform the treatment of peripheral nerve injuries. Previously, I served as the President and CEO of Cerebra Health, a digital health company that developed a breakthrough EEG-based sleep diagnostic and therapy platform. Under my leadership, Cerebra grew from 3 to 30 employees, raised over $9 million in equity, obtained regulatory approval for its flagship device, and supported the development of the Winnipeg Ventilator for Canada's COVID-19 response. Prior to that, I served as President of Medicure, a specialty pharmaceutical company, where I played a key role in expanding the US market for its cardiovascular drug, Aggrastat, and acquiring Apicore, a US/Indian manufacturer of specialty pharmaceuticals. I also have extensive experience in incubating and advising early-stage health-tech companies, having supported the founding of Genesys Venture, a life science business incubator, and CentreStone Ventures, a life science venture fund.
