I worked with Bank of Hawaii for more than 25 years consulting to 3 CEO succession transitions, disruptive change in the finance sector brough on by Glass-Steagall, and helped on the people side for all of Bank of Hawaii's many strategic acquisitions. Hawaiian Electric lasted 15 years doing very similar kinds of projects: moving a conflict-avoidant 'utility' culture to a more professional one with greater accountability and higher performance standards.
