The Suffolk Transnational Law Review prepares for publication a professional journal focused on public and private international law, international institutions, international legal and political events, and developments in the law of the world economic community.

As part of its overall mission of serving victims and protecting citizens of the county, the District Attorney’s office maintains a presence in nine district and municipal courts throughout Suffolk County. Operated by the Trial Court of the Commonwealth, these courts have jurisdiction over misdemeanors and some felonies, and the vast majority of criminal cases handled by our office are resolved here. Each courthouse has a team of assistant district attorneys, victim witness advocates, investigators, and administrative staff who are dedicated to serving victims and communities while holding criminal offenders accountable. I successfully completed my first trial, securing a guilty verdict, and argued two motions to suppress during my first three months at BMC Dorchester.

The Appeals Unit works to ensure the integrity of criminal convictions in Suffolk County. As the busiest appellate team in the state, this team litigates appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court; challenges judicial error and seeks to develop and clarify case law by taking more affirmative appeals than any other appellate unit; handles complex or cutting-edge pre-trial and post-conviction motions in the trial courts; and helps to draft legislation. The Appeals Unit also works side-by-side with trial lawyers from every level of the office to address any questions of law, procedure, and precedent that may arise — from the investigative stage all the way through trial. Cases argued by the Appeals Unit frequently result in the establishment of new case law serving the interests of justice across the Commonwealth.As an appeals intern, I researched and drafted two appellate briefs and two Rule 15 Motions. Additionally, I assisted unit ADAs in issue research projects and oral argument prep. I twice argued before the Appeals Court, once in December 2033 and second in January 2024. Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) delivers quality pro bono civil legal services to eligible clients in the Greater Boston area.In my role as a Housing and Appeals intern, I attended and lead answer and discovery sessions with housing clients, conducted client intake at Lawyer for a Day, and prepared answers and memorandums for housing and appeals cases.

Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) provides free legal assistance and represenatation to MA residents involved in civil legal matters.My role was to represent individuals with credit card debt claims in Chelsea Small Claims court. Tasks included client intake, document review, and the attendance of in-court hearings.

My responsibilities as a summer legal intern included preparing evidence and drafts for my supervising attorneys at the Special Investigations Unit. Topics included a filing in opposition to motion to suppress and memorandum on flight as admission of guilt and willful default.

Following the acquisition by Hyperice, I maintained my event management responsibilities while adding account management responsibilities for endurance retail accounts.

My position as Events Manager required a diverse set of responsibilities. I managed two in office, direct reports as well as over ten 1099 field representatives. While onsite at events, I trained new representatives and acted as the main onsite contact for NormaTec. Additionally, I processed and approved all onsite sales. My main office duties included the research, planning and management of NormaTec's yearly events' schedule. Duties also included processing sales via PayPal Here and Microsoft CRM, overseeing event shipment logistics and coordinating with and contributing to NormaTec's social media accounts.NormaTec was acquired by Hyperice in March, 2020.

The Harvard Kennedy School is one of Harvard University's graduate and professional studies schools. I worked as a course materials assistant in the Library and Knowledge Services Department.My position focused on providing support for the manager of course materials and for the school's faculty assistants. As part of this support, I uploaded and organized documents in the Ares database, I directly communicated with faculty assistants, and I used Adobe Acrobat and ScanTailor to edit and proofread documents. Additionally, I provided basic office assistance in the form of copying, scanning and printing.

The BB&N Summer Rowing Camp instructs children in grades six through eight on the fundamental aspects of rowing/crew. I worked as an assistant head coach for four years and as a head coach for one year. During this time I organized the camp's daily schedule and actively coached basic and advanced rowing techniques. Additionally, I prepped equipment and drove a motor boat while coaching.

The National Museum of Crime and Punishment is a privately owned museum dedicated to the history of criminology in the United States. The museum features exhibits on crime in American history, the American prison system and study of forensics. My position at the Crime Museum spanned many different fields. My primary goals were to increase viewership for the museum's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. In my first month at the museum I increased the total reach of the Facebook page by over 200% from the previous month. My second responsibility in the museum was to complete the research and preliminary writing for the museum's exhibits. In total, I completed the research and writing for exhibits on domestic terrorism, cold cases, cyber crime and Prohibition Era mob bosses.

The Lerner Health and Wellness Center is the main fitness center at the George Washington University. As an Assistant Manager I directly supervised seven staff members while also maintaining the rules and regulations of the entire facility. My other responsibilities included maintaining a safe workout environment and responding to patron concerns. Additionally, my position required me to process the sales of memberships and the loaning of equipment.

DC Scores is the local branch of the national nonprofit organization, America Scores. America Scores' goal is to promote healthy lifestyles and education for urban youth. The organization attempts to achieve this goal by combining team soccer and poetry. During a school week, the children will spend three days after school at soccer practice and two days at poetry class.As part of DC Scores, I was the head boys soccer coach at the Kipp Will School in the Shaw Neighborhood. As the head coach, I directly instructed the fundamental skills of soccer to twenty grade six boys.

Congressman Joseph Kennedy III ran for reelection for Massachusetts's 4th Congressional District in 2014. His reelection campaign was successful as he was reelected on November 4, 2014. My internship was directly related to the reelection process of Congressman Kennedy. During the summer months I participated in phone banks and canvassing for the congressional district, assisted in the management of the candidate’s Facebook page, and planned and assembled necessary campaign resources.

The Octagon Museum is a private museum owned by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The museum is dedicated to showcasing the nineteenth century residence of the Tayloe Family. Additionally, the museum showcases its status as a temporary residence for President Madison after the White House's destruction in the War of 1812. My position at the Octagon Museum was centered on restoration, research and writing. I was directly tasked with the reconstruction of the museum's basement rooms. This required the research of period kitchen aesthetics as well as the actual assembly of the kitchen's main features. Additionally, I presented research for a future exhibit on slavery in the nation's capital and I determined appropriate artifacts for a separate future exhibit. My other tasks included proofreading the written museum tour guide and promoting the museum through social media.

Senator Elizabeth Warren ran for election in 2012. She successfully won her seat in November 2012.During my time on the candidate's campaign I held the position of summer intern and campus intern. Both positions were focused on the promotion of the candidate's platform. As a summer intern, I participated in weekly canvasses and biweekly phone banks. My position as a campus intern required more leadership as I was directly tasked with organizing biweekly, three hour long phonebanks. The position also required the collection of absentee ballots and the running of a campus information table. I concluded my internship by participating in Massachusetts Get Out to Vote Weekend with other George Washington students.
