One of my team’s clients was Goodpods, a growing social media app for podcast listeners and creators. We conducted primary research by interviewing individuals from diverse demographics, and used our results to brainstorm how Goodpods could improve its product to better satisfy and retain its customers. We also performed a competitive analysis to gain.

I plan and manage the flow of Arts & Life content using an organizational structure that helps to ensure a steady stream of high-quality articles. I lead a team of Desk Editors and provide a second round of edits on articles. I also act as a liaison between writers, Desk Editors, and outside parties who are interested in press coverage to provide staffers.

I contribute to The Stanford Daily’s Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook presence by publishing polls to increase follower engagement and posts featuring recent articles to drive traffic.

I write articles for the Arts & Life section, and have covered art exhibitions, video games, theater productions, and more. Writing articles has helped me hone my research and interviewing skills.

I was a Desk Editor for the Culture beat of the Arts & Life section, which covered topics including lifestyle, visual art, cultural matters, dance, culinary arts, and theater. I supported my writers throughout the article drafting process by refining article ideas and providing feedback. My main responsibility was reviewing, editing, and proofreading.

The Business Team worked to boost readership and revenue, shape The Stanford Daily’s public image, and optimize operations to reduce costs. We used Google Analytics to monitor the performance of articles and maximize site traffic, offered sponsored content and ad packages to increase revenue, and collected data on print distribution to streamline our paper.
