Dr Daxesh Patel M.S (ENT)., M.Ch. (Head & Neck Oncology) is in team of Head & Neck Oncology at HCG Cancer Center, Ahmedabad and member of Aastha Oncology Associates. After completing M.B.B.S and M.S (ENT) from Baroda Medical College he joined Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI) - Ahmedabad as Surgical Fellow for one year. He then pursued M.Ch in Head & Neck Cancer Surgery from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences-Kochi. Thereafter to gain further experience in field of Head & Neck Oncology he went to one of the top most cancer center of world-Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York-USA for 2 years where apart from clinical academic activities he was actively involved in research related to tobacco induced oral cavity cancer and different modalities to prevent it.Dr Daxesh has special interest in treating cancers involving base of skull, tobacco induced oral cavity and laryngeal cancers, minimally invasive laryngeal surgery through LASER and Robotic head & neck surgeries(da Vinci Robotic trained from Seoul – South Korea). etc. He is also keen on rehabilitating patient after cancer ablative surgery through plastic & reconstructive surgery and speech and swallowing therapy and voice restoration after laryngectomy.He has published many clinical and basic science research papers in international peer reviewed journals. He has won many awards including Gold Medal at National level forum on Head & Neck Cancer. He has been invited as speaker and as panelist in various conferences.
