About Dax Ovid, Ph.D.

Hello! My name is Dax Ovid, and I'm an Assistant Professor and founder of the CORPUS Education Lab, which stands for "Collaborative Opportunities for Research in Physiology and Under/Graduate Science." As the lab name implies, our scholarship focuses on discipline-based education research (DBER), and we use interdisciplinary approaches to study education for STEM graduate and undergraduate students. Our research aims to expand the defining features of “being a scientist” in the 21st century, moving beyond stereotypes and challenging long-standing biases and assumptions about the types of people that do science.
